i always remembered this ad for the "notatall" comment, how he runs all the words together and the "don't worry love, they'll catch the bastard."

Um I have looked over all you new zealand ltnz videos but cant find it. There was one which was real simple, it just showed a point of view of a man coming home and his wife opening the door and his children running to say hi each day. The conclusion of the advert is, it appears the man comes home, but he takes off a police officers cap (ie cop came to tell lady husband died). Any idea if you have it and I just missed it?

Unfortunately, too many drivers are psychopaths or sociopaths who simply do not care enough about others' lives, and thus do not take care when driving.
Look through the comments on some of these commercials to see what I mean.

I like that idea. That way you get to know the person, start to care about them.
All the more effective if they die.

INB4 "He killed Kenny!"

Wow... even if the police don't catch you, your own guilt will. These ads show that brilliantly. It's also quite unsettling how the situations worsen with each ad - it really led me to think it'd end with the man dying in a crash, but the actual ending, I think, is just as powerful.
This ad does really well to show the dangers of drink-driving. If you ask me, honestly, I'd rather be the one to go in an accident than have to live the rest of my life knowing I was responsible for somebody's death.

Yeah, I think I'm starting to like the fact that my husband and I are homebodies.
These ads were really powerful. Especially the ones which continued on each ad break like this one. Thanks man..

When you say "continued on each ad break" what do you mean? Were they played in sequence over a few breaks?
Whenever we've had a series of ads, they played each one for a few days, and then started showing the next, then the next, etc. Check my uploads called Day One, Day Two, Day Three, and Day Four for an example of this.

Wishing to make sure I get this. He goes on not getting caught initially, then hits Mack? a friend of his, & then because he's not coping gets into a crash & is himself hurt?

Nah, basically, every time they all go out, he drives home drunk, and nothing happens each time, then one time he ends up running his mate off the road and finds out about it from his other friends. He doesn't own up to it, but the guilt is with him forever from that point on.
