I smiled, "Thanks. So, CAN I shower at your place?" They nodded. I walked away, glad I have friends to be there for me.

I skipped lunch and dinner. If I ate too much too soon, I'd run out of money. I woke up around 1 the next morning. The bench in the park isn't very comfortable. I picked my bag up and went back to the diner again. It was open 24 hours. I went straight to the back restrooms and put on jeans and a plain black t-shirt. I went back out to the deserted room and sat down at my usual booth. Justin's mom, that I remember, walked out and walked up to me. "Good morning. What would you like?" she yawned. "Just some orange juice." I said quietly. She went away. What am I supposed to do? I have nowhere to go, I'm running out of my survival money...She came back and set down a glass of orange juice. Wow, this diner has fast service...Well, Im the only customer...She asked, "Anything to eat?" "Uh, no thanks." She nodded and walked away. I took a sip of orange juice. When I finished, I paid. "Um, is it okay, if I wait here awhile? Im coming back for breakfast and I have nowhere to go." I asked quietly. "Sure." she nodded and went away. I put my head down and closed my eyes...I woke up to bright light in my eyes. I heard the bell go off as someone walked through the front door of the diner. I picked my head up off the table. The giant clock across the room said it was 9: 45 AM. I yawned and stretched my arms. I looked around. This was the first time I noticed a little TV in the back corner. "Morning, Hayden," I heard Justin say. I turned my head and he was smiling at me. He took a seat. "My mom told me you came in earlier and fell asleep. How's life on the streets?" he seemed bored by this topic. "Fine." I said softly. I dont know why I'm talking this soft. Before I ran away, I would scream whenever I felt like it. He opened his mouth to speak, but there were a bunch of screams. I panicked. What if the guys were here again?!? A bunch of girls ran to the TV. "Hurry, hurry!" "Its starting!!" "Quickly!!!" I heard a bunch of them scream. The TV turned to Ellen. A bunch of girls found a seat and just had their eyes glued to the TV. The Jonas Brothers got welcomed and they walked in. I could tell they werent happy. They were forcing smiles. "They don't look good." one of the girls said. The boys sat down on the couch. "So, guys, you told me you had a huge announcement?" Ellen said, more of a question than a statement. "Um, yeah." Joe said. "You're all going to take this as a huge shock, really." Nick looked at the camera, then back to Ellen. "Go ahead." she nudged Kevin. "We have a 13 year old sister." Kevin admitted. My stomach flipped. What are they doing?! "Wow, why would they keep that bottled up?" Justin muttered to me. I'm sure if one of the girls in the group over there, all of whom were screaming, heard that, theyd kill him. "You do? Well, why are we just finding this out now?" Ellen asked. "Well, we're not as close with her as we are each other." Nick said. Not AS close?! Ugh, I want to go ring his neck!!! "And, she ran away a few days ago." Joe looked down. "We're REALLY worried! We've looked ALL over town, but we can't find her. That's why there was so many sightings of us yesterday." Kevin looked guilty. "Well, what's her name? What does she look like?" Ellen seemed intrigued by this. "Her name is Hayden," Nick said. I'm sure they had to find my birth certificate just to remember my name. "We brought a picture of her." Joe pulled something out of his pocket. There was a close-up. That's my school picture! Uh oh. Justin's head flew right to me and I smiled innocently. "YOURE THEIR SIS-" he began to shout, but I covered his mouth. "SHHH.Dont say anything!" I whispered frantically, then looked back at the TV. "Oh, she's pretty!" Ellen smiled at them. "So, we're asking a favor of our fans. If you see her, PLEASE find a way to stall her, and get someone to call this number." Nick said. He read a number out to the crowd twice. The girls in the group didn't have any paper, so they were writing it on their arms. Oh no. I have to get out of here. "Hey, guys. If she's watching now, why dont you send a message out to her." Ellen suggested. "Yeah, okay!" Joe perked up. "Hayden, if you're watching, please come back home." Nick started them off. "We know we leave you out a lot, and we're really sorry." Kevin continued. "But, if you come back, we promise we'll spend time with you." Joe finished. "Just...Please come back!" Kevin said, begging. I looked back at Justin, where I was still holding my hand over his mouth, and watched him stare at me. His eyes were bugged out, but going back to normal.
