One more thing.......as an experienced home renovator, and lover of good decoration/design, the "ballroom" needs a facelift terribly! That hodgepodge of pictures is a mess....and those tables should be stored until absolutely necessary unless they are going to be more elegantly dressed. The chandeliers are marvelous, however!

It looks rather shabby from the outside but I am a proud Illinoisian and I love this venerable old place! Kudos to our state capitol as well. Great video and I hope to live in that mansion one day....I truly would love to be the Governor :-)

interesting video sj-r. Definitely looks like the mansion could use some work, I wonder how it compares to governor's mansions in other states.
