@lsd77bju Question: can you legally (MTI rights, etc) lower the key of this thing? I just saw one in Chicago where they took the key down a minor 3rd for Freddie AND Florence. It was a dinner theatre so I suppose I can understand that ...considering the proximity to the singers. I will say though, the last time I was involved with this show, all I can remember is thinking "Am I going to make this tonight?" each time the reporter walked off-stage and the music started. It's scary as hell.
I'm sorry, but this is really bad. To be fair, it isn't his fault. He has no business singing this song (unless they lower it about a minor 3rd). He's ruining his voice screaming those notes out, and that's the reason he's so flat. Fire the music director for doing this to him.
Sorry friend, I know I was too severe in my comment but it is the true for me. I recognize the try, but it was not even close to a good version. The one I "liked" was very well done for me and remember falsetto is a common singing resource (if not ask Steve Balsamo hehe) you are a good friend/familiar of Kurt, I like people like you.
@broadwhy -- People like you crack me up. I just checked out your page & noticed there are no postings of you singing anything. I also noticed that you actually "liked" a video of a guy singing this same song who flipped into falsetto for EVERY high note. I saw this live- his power is AMAZING. This guy performed the entire song in FULL CHEST VOICE, and oh by the way, holds the last note for more than 15 seconds. You're pretty much a genius though, so we should probably trust your opinion...

Eyebrow mania. Voice is a little flat. "I had the skill, and more- an ax, easier to kill that way!"

He needs a lot more training. The vocals sound pushed and uncomfortable, and the acting is overdone.
