FAIR tax is unenforcable and will actually make the underground economy larger. If you run a retail business wouldn't you be tempted to make an extra 30% profit off every transaction by hiding the taxes you collected?

I only wish that Rep. Levin would have kept his eye on the enormous possibilities of revenue capture that are available with the FairTax proposal. The billions of dollars of UNDERGROUND ECONOMY will be finally taxed. After all - even TAX CHEATS BUY STUFF. Sometimes they buy expensive stuff. When they buy expensive stuff they pay their FAIR SHARE OF THE TAX.

Keep an open mind Rep. Levin. When you study the implications of the FairTax proposal, you will find that THE SUPER RICH WILL BE TAXED THE MOST. If the goal of a tax system to get the rich to pay most of the taxes - the FairTax is the answer. NO MORE LOOPHOLES to hide income, NO TAX SHELTERS that only the rich can afford to implement - NO CORPORATE TAXES which are nothing more than hidden taxes buried in consumer prices. When high dollar purchases are made - THE RICH PAY THE TAX.
