Secretariat (March 30, 1970 -- October 4, 1989) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse, that in 1973 became the first U.S. Triple Crown champion in twenty-five years, setting new race records in two of the three events in the Series—the Kentucky Derby (1:592⁄5), and the Belmont Stakes (2:24)—records that still stand today.

  • @rambo41554 Not only did he have Bold Ruler in his blood, he also had Princequillo.

  • Oh to be able to turn back time, pay off that syndication, and watch him run another couple of years. sigh..... I bet the whole country would have chipped in to buy 'em out to be able to see that. He was just coming into his prime.

  • Beautiful horse...

  • I think we sometimes dont give the credit to Mrs Chenery she went out on a limb and against all advice and she had tremendous courage and Integrity, I am so happy they portrayed her as the strong and intelligent women she was and a great role model for young woment today! God bless her and many thanks for making an American saga. All Americans were proud back then and we had a true champion.

  • Please accept my apologies for the foul language I used at this deranged troll, He mimicked my yt account name and is trying to cause problems with many people. Secretariat was the greatest horse ever period.

  • Secretariat was an all natural freak of a horse, and the greatest to ever set foot on a track.

  • No words can ever describe what a horse Secretariat was!!! Only God could have guessed what Secretariat was going to do in the belmont stakes! So much for those against him who said that he was another son of Bold Ruler, all strenght and no speed!!! Actions speak louder than words!!!

  • greatest racehorse of all time.i love him very much. he may not alive but he still lives in our hearts............
