Why is it I hate "church people" so?

Hate is too strong. Dislike intensely is better. Irrational disinclination to feel sisterly towards ... how's that?

Look, I know you hate us. But i love you, And so does Jesus.

They probably want to convert you, and pull you into Christ's love. I promise you though, the words of Jesus aren't the same as the door to door Christ salesmen.

At least read the words of Jesus. You'll find He's not as bad as what you said. He's different. Believe me, I hate being forced into church, but I love Jesus. Haven't always, but I do now. Give Him a chance, try it out. You won't be let down. :)

Why is it that religious people coming to the door raises your temperature so much but if they were selling almost anything else, that wouldn't happen. Why is that? Why did you blow that question off? You seem honestly interested in matters of faith but like most of us, you don't have a good retort. They don't want your money and they are probably good people. They simply have found something they want or feel compelled to share with a skeptic. Try this: Thank them for caring about you.

@gyamlj Oh boy, you're wrong there. I'm annoyed by anyone who sells things door to door. If I want their product I'll come to the store where it's sold. My home is where I expect to be free of sales pressure. Thanks so much for clearing up my lack of understanding! Now I get it! If I want a car I go to a dealership where I can check them out. I don't want car salespeople at my door. Not on my property, thank you very much.

I was searching for reasons why the world hates the church. I felt while watching this that there is a tendency to get angry at Christianity. To want to avoid it and to be left alone. And if you are confronted with the gospel you feel violated. I guess that is why if we devote ourselves to Jesus and spreading the gospel, the Bible says we should expect persecution. So, I don't expect this post to be received kindly but i must say to everyone: Salvation is in Jesus alone. And He loves you.

They are only trying to fulfil the Great Commission of Matthew 28:16-20. They are trying to spread the Gospel! Clearly you are affected by it and I hope you accept Christ into your life so you too can share the Gospel with others!

The reason you can't pull anything sensible together is because the deceiver, Satan, doesn't want you to. He wants to block you from rational thought. He wants your mind closed. He doesn't want you to know truth or experience love. Either open your mind, or you might as well get used to your temperature rising.

These people are probably Jehovah's witnesses or Mormons. They go out in pairs because that's how Jesus sent out his disciples (Mark 6:7). They go door to door because their denominations teach them that that is the way they are to evangelize. They come to your door because they apparently don't know you. If they spent even a few seconds watching this video they would realize how truly annoying you are and they would avoid you. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to take some aspirin.

Just let them know that you are "not accepting visitors today", and just follow up any questions with , "no thank you, no thank you, no thank you". No need to get angry or flustered. Or better yet, just don't answer the door!

ok when u love Jesus u love church and everyone there. but when u go to uni like me and start partying u wont have time and effort for youth group leading and shit. its why i just left my church coz i fucking hate travelling there and i just want to do whatever i want without commitment to my faith. ARGHHH i looked up this video coz my pastor just called me to ask me if i'm ok. see.. NO SHIT IM OK, in fact i like my life more without church now. i still love christians but i just cant go there!
