This is San Jose's newest fire engine, one of 6 2009 model pumpers built by Hi-Tech EVS on a Spartan Gladiator Chassis.

At this MVA in San Jose in June we get an opportunity to see the emergency lighting package in operation during a rescue response, where Engine 9 is one of six responding San Jose Fire Department apparatus.

  • @ZBeeb oh ok thught it was

  • I hate the California Steady Burning light law, it makes that Whelen Freedom look stupid with other flashing red lights and one steady burning red light...

  • That's a nice light bar.

  • The yellow engine in the back's a reserve engine, and they are mostly used during the wildfire season

  • I never saw a Q tucked into the bumber like that before...

  • Its a san jose reserve engine if you look close you can see the three digit identifier sjs

  • Always noticed that San Jose doesn;t do much with their lights and sirens...At least this one has a Q!
