Since 2003 a spectacular fireworks display has been fired from the British Airways London Eye. This year we will once again mark midnight New Year's Eve with over 350,000 people expected to celebrate the start of 2008 in Central London.
Following the chimes of Big Ben at midnight, a ten-minute fireworks display, organised by the Mayor of London, will be fired from the London Eye and from the river.
The display viewing areas are between Blackfriars and Westminster Bridges on the banks of the Thames, but it can also be viewed wherever you can see the Eye.

Strange how different people have different perceptions. Watching that flippin' ball inch its way down leaves me totally unmoved. New year just isn't new year without the sound of Big Ben! So glad that, thanks to the internet, I can now hear it again.....

Just killing time waiting for the ball to drop in NYC. It really isnt a New Year celebration unless Guy Lombardo or Lloyd Beaumont plays 'Auld Lang Zyne' Leebm29 at yahoo dot com
