After climbing to an elevation of 2,600 feet above sea level on PR-10 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, you are presented with a very fast uninterrupted descend to the city of Ponce, which is basically at a few feet above sea level. The section of the road of this video clip is about 3.5 miles long. You can go down this road at 40 mph without pedaling and if you are crazy enough, you can pedal it over 80 kph (50 mph). With my compact crank I can only go up to 80 kph, which is what you see in some sections of the video.
This video shows the a section near the end of a 120 miles ride that took us half way accross the island. My favorite part of this video is at 3:18, where you can get a sense of the speed.
Recorded with GoPro HD mounted on an inverted FEISOL bike mount.
