Here is a tribute to the Beatles' early career, which I made with some pics from my collection together with one of my faves: Cry For a Shadow

  • goerge is so cute i just can't get enough of george harrison

  • me neighter :)

  • That drummer must have been so gutted missing out on their success. Why did he leave the band ?

  • Because that was the request so they could do their first recording: A new drummer or not contract. So they replaced Pete with Ringo Starr.

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver didnt someone die first then pete best came and then ringo? i could be wrong

  • @silverhammer11 Yes, one of the original members of the Beatles died back then, but he wasn't a drummer. He was the first bassist the band had, Stuart Sutcliffe. He was only 21. Pete was there too when Stuart was in the band and was there even after Stu's death. Then, Ringo came and Pete was out.

  • @radiorentalmaniac I`m afraid they got rid of Pete Best simply because he was considered the most hansomne and got the girls screaming for him..cruel of them, and btw I am a great Beatles fan, and they were all good looking, but did not agree with getting rid of Pete out of petty jelousy really!

  • Paul was such a cutie pie! And George got better looker as the years went on.... and Pete Best kinda looks like a douchebag in all those pictures...but he's probably a sweet guy. I do feel really bad for him.

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver Stu left the band to focus on art, then Paul became the bassist. When they came back to visit Mimi, she had broken the news to them that Stu had suffered from a brain hemmorage. I'm sure John and Paul felt horrible, it seems like death took everything they loved.

  • MACCA!

  • I CAN'T help but always feel a little sorry for Pete Best - I don't know if he was the greatest drummer in the World but really, he got a raw deal. At one time or another in each of our lives, we've been "let go" by companies for one reason or another, and we know it hurts...now, multiply that by how it must feel to be "let go" by a rock group, and then the group goes on to not just success, but astonishing heights of Rock Stardom.

It must have been devastating for Pete Best.

  • they were total greasers

  • wow im shocked...they were actually kinda hot back then! o_o

  • 2:00 finally... RINGO!!
