@Combatives813 you cannot train for any of the things youve mentioned realistically, thats why they are left out, theyve gone for stuff you can train full contact so you know if they can do it or not.Anyone can gouge an eye or bite ,its a moral issue whether you do it or not, being able to defend biting and gouging is more important and they should be informed of that.

Krav Maga may be easier to learn, and oriented towards battlefield hand to hand combat. This is good to get the agression out, and you learn some things. Nice.

This marine martial art system is way too sport oriented. Tae Kwon Do kicks are flashy put not powerful and BJJ leaves your back exposed which works fine in the octagon one on one but in real life or in war you could be facing multiple opponents.

@KnightsofBiersack 2/2 And if the situation calls for running away (ex. too many attackers, weapon involvement) then its better to be the pussy that ran away than the idot that got dominated. You know what im saying. Its really up to how you see the situation. If you understand it to be necessarty to finish it, then do it. But be careful because of how people may perceive it. I heard of too many times where the attacker sued the victim for using "excessive force" when the victim subdued them.

@KnightsofBiersack Well i still consider it an art. Just not a Combat Art. But yes i agree with you to a certain extent. Some situations require retaliation in order to prevent further issues. And one argument i always had with the "running away" thing is, what if the bully is faster than you. He could easily catch up to you. Or if he has a buddy who can intercept you. Different situations call for different approaches. Its up to the martial artist to make the most appropriate judgement call.

@DeltaMartialArt I agree with you, it shouldnt be classified as an art but as a demonstration and sport. And they yell at you becuz lets so the punched you, you should block it and run away. im 12 lol so it doesnt make any sense becuz then you would be classified as a pussy and it wouldnt stop the bully. i personally think that if someone picks a fight with you you should fight back and neutralize the bully right then, instead of running away.

@KnightsofBiersack In my personal opinion Taekwondo is for sport. thats it. That is why Korea labeled it as their national sport and its separate from Taekyyon (the original art for fighting). Similar to Muay Thai (Sport) and Muay Boran (Original Combat form). However that doesnt make the sport ones useless. But yea they focus too much on kicking. And i never liked that about certain instructors. If you didnt instigate the fight, then why is it your fault if you were forced to defend yourself?

@DeltaMartialArt ik lol. im in tae kwon do and all you do is kick CONSTANTLY. and then when you defend yourself in a fight they yell at you.
