  • One of her best renditions of Over the Rainbow-- and that's saying alot!

  • Thank you so much for posting this timeless television treasure from Christmas 1963. One thought: This show aired not long after the JFK assassination. The nation was still in mourning; you can tell that there's a bit of a pall in the air from the way all the performers do their numbers. Variety shows like this no longer exist today. All of today's entertainers would want like a $100,000 appearance fee just to show up. It was a totally different world then.

  • This was wonderful !

  • The talent and passion in this episode were endless. Thank you for posting this!

  • What a beautiful rendition of Over the Rainbow! <3

  • @missjinx131 Merry Christmas Lorna, Merry Christmas Joe

  • Wasn't she just beautiful? She was an absolute perfectionist with her music/performances, and from what I read before took very little rehearsal because.............she was just that "Great". I would have paid anything to be in the front row to any of her performances.....or back row for that matter!!!

  • Thankyou so much for sharing this wonderful show. I remember it from when I was a little girl and it was sweet to see and hear it again. I still weep when I hear "Rainbow" but not in a bad way. Judy knew how to touch the heartstrings and I can only imagine that she does that with the angels in Heaven. RIP Dorothy--you were loved more than you could ever begin to imagine.
