This new variant Leopard 2 PSO (Peace Support Operations) is designed specially for urban warfare which peacekeeping operations have encountered more and more. Therefore the Leopard 2 PSO is equipped with more effective all-around protection, a secondary weapons station, improved reconnaissance ability, a bulldozer blade, non-lethal armament, close-range surveillance ability (through camera systems), a searchlight and further changes to improve its perseverance and mobility.

Then youve got the wrong idea of destroyed. It doesnt need to be in 5 million pieces to be labeled destroyed. Those tanks arent just disabled and abandoned

Those are only abandoned Abrams by the soldiers. No Abrams have been reported to be destroyed in battles.

Lol, the Challenger 2 does so there goes your armor ego out the window. Technicly the Leo is already superior. The only problem is, the Leo 2 hasen't yet seen full scale combat like the Abrams. But that doesn't make the Abrams better.

Dutch and US had a practise fight once. Dutch had their 80 Leopard 2's. US over 150 Abrams. Abrams were forced to retreat with most of their tanks gone against 20 destroyed tanks on the Dutch side.

@alboclev Acutally US had very little loss of M1A2 Abrams and M1A1's ever heard about the M1A2 Abram which fought it way out of enemy lines? not to mention it got hit with Rockets left and right still ran great and got the hell back to base my point is no tank comes close to the Abrams with Armor and Tech

@IpMan19 Many got hit and damaged in Iraq,however US army retrieves them all the time and ships them back to the States.Your claim is unfunded because in all conflicts the the US had total air supremacy and the enemy armor is neutralized most of the time from the air,if not, it is hiding for cover.M1A1/A2has never been proven in real combat,so far it has only been a logistical nightmare with that creepy gas turbine.It also uses the Leo's 2's 120mm smoothbore gun L55.In overall Leo 2 rocks.
