As of this morning, MacRumors.com claims they have attained confirmed specifications for the baseline 2011 13" MacBook Pro said to be released tomorrow (Feb. 24th). These new machines are said to feature an HD FaceTime camera, Intel Core i5 processors and Thunderbolt connectivity! Are you excited for these new MacBook Pros? Any last minute predictions? I'd love to hear them in the comments!

  • you're hot!

  • I'm not seeing these specs actually making it to the 13inch. Core i5 is really fast for such a tiny mac; however, you may see an i3 in a 13inch. The big problem is that an i5 is just so hot, and consumes so much battery that people who buy a 13inch mac pro won't find them useful. They might as well just buy the 15 inch. As for the camera being 720p, now that's a possibility! I predict i3, 4 gigs of ram, better camera (maybe 720, maybe not), better graphics card, and better screen.

  • if you ever come to england message me and ill take you for dinner

  • Remember, this is the basic entry level model we have specs for. We've yet to see the rest of the models and customisation options so you may find they meet all your expectations (or almost lol)! One thing I'm slightly concerned with is the Intel GPU. Intel make TERRIBLE GPU's, but thanks to their draconian licensing not allowing anybody else to make integrated GPU's and chipsets but themselves we're stuck with those POS. At least they support DX11 and OpenCL unlike the last generation.
