This is made out of foam core, duct tape, and basic electric r/c gear. I did this just to see if I could, and to prove once again that duct tape is awesome.

I have posted full instructions at instructables.com.

  • i like your approach. Do you have a pdf plan or layout?

  • @mattnsim Yep. I posted a pdf of the ribs on instructables, along with a bunch of other info on how to make this. Just look for duct tape rc plane on that site and you should find it.

  • Sloppy?

  • @FreeRSAccountsWeekly I mean the duct tape finish is not ideal or as neat and slick as could be accomplished by covering with traditional materials... Not that the work on the plane was sloppily done.

  • im working on a giant one made of computer paper ducttape and paper towls for stuffing it is nearly done then come the test shot (of the perfect fail) hope it flys like yours myn with the body and tail weighs about 10 pounds wings 2 each propeller 1 pound and landing gear 1 so hope it works pretty heavy for a plane without a motor but it will be a nice replica lol
