Since this morning, Muara Baru area in North Jakarta has been inundated with tidal wave flood (rob). Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) predicted that
the rob at Jakarta Bay would reach 1.2 meters of height within the next few days. Water height on Muara Baru highway was as high as an adult's knee.

According to local residents, the rob entered the area at around 7 a.m. and got higher. So far, the rob has not hampered local residents' activities. Rob at Jakarta Bay, according to BMG, was caused by the escalating of moon gravity. Water height would increase as an effect of swell wave that was struck upon by west wind from South China Sea. The rob was estimated to peak on Sunday, with 1.2 meters of height.

  • I'm sure the millions of people who live every day of their lives in flood prone areas of Jakarta and other third world cities have every means of just packing up and moving to your bright and sunny neck of the woods - you fucking asshole! What an insensitive and snobby comment!
