Wednesday, May 19, 2009, was an historic day for NASA. Senior Hubble Hugger Dr. John Grunsfeld and his shuttle Atlantis crew completed all repairs and upgrading of the great Hubble telescope during some 36 hours of spacewalks. The mission was so dangerous NASA had an unprecedented backup shuttle on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral if the crew had been in danger. This segment is part of ABC World News with Charles Gibson the evening of that final day of trying to give the Hubble five to ten years more of life.
