The bike sounds great. I have a GT550 too, but not the skill to carry out this sort of work. Where do people find spares for these bikes?

I bought a 550 new and had chromed 3-1 Bromlech pipes fitted to it. Very comfy bike, and handled OK, but at 70 mph it used to get around 30mpg. Ended up selling it to a friend and I was shocked to discover you could hear it about 2 miles away when he rode it at night. Had never really noticed the noise as the rider.

Beautiful bike and very nice job. I just restored myself an other classic bike of that period, a 1972 Kawasaki 750 H2. To see the restoration of this bike make a youtube search for:

Thanks guys...it was a lot of fun and the best part is I have ANOTHER 75 and this one may receive even more performance work to it when I finally get to it.
