Asian Drama

We were kind of bored, so we decided to make a cheesy asian drama.

So its called love story, but its not really about the boy meets girl thing. Its more about stuff between friends, and fathers and daughters. Bear with me here; it gets pretty cheesy, if you can make it through the paragraph below, then the video will make some sense.

Lang Liuew (Joey), a young girl, was living a happy life until her father was diagnosed with stage two leukemia. It had always been her fathers dream for her to share the same passion for music that he had, so she decided that while he recovered, she would take up piano lessons and work on a recital for him. She practiced tirelessly with her childhood friend Sow Tsai (Mitchell), who had been practicing and performing music on the cello ever since she had met him. Together, they worked on a piece that they would perform for her father. The song was something she wanted to be exclusive to just her and her father, combining her favourite song with his.

Even better, Sow was able to drive her everyday afterschool to visit her father. On a visit, many months after the diagnosis, her fathers condition had worsened and he wouldnt be able to leave the hospital for the recital. Lang called the whole thing off, but the next day, Sow surprised her with a chance to audition for the hospitals charity concert, in which they could perform, and her father would be able to hear from his room. They auditioned and ended up, after getting a standing ovation from the judges, getting in. Sow and Lang decided to make it a surprise for her father, so they kept it a secret from him.
The day of the concert has finally arrived, and Sow is waiting outside the school for Lang, who has just put some finishing touches on her piano part. She gets a call from the hospital, telling her that her dad had passed away

The video clip that youre about to watch, picks up from the phone call from the hospital. The whole clip, is illustrated through the composition that Lang and Sow wrote together. Its cheesy, and its pretty bad, but it was fun to make, so I hope you enjoy!
