I prefer to grow small tomatoes myself. They are indeed prolific. When I was a teenager I grew some Cherry Toms & I guess some flowers crossed with a large variety nearby. One of the plants that emerged the next year ended up making masses of tomatoes about 2 - 3 times bigger than Cherry Toms, about a mouthful. There were fewer per a cluster but their size made up for that. We were never without Toms. I grew those for several years just letting them reseed themselves. Wish I still had them.
@southfinest2541 I saw another video of his where he visited a man who trims all suckers & John said he doesn't do that. I usually start with finding the tallest lankiest plants and trench planting them, leaving only 1 - 4 inches unburied so that roots can grow all along the buried stem. Once it gets going I let 2 - 4 suckers live along with the main stem. Then I trim all suckers that appear until the plants are growing too fast & there is too much harvesting to do anyway. Then just let it go.
I agree as well. it is nice to see someone picking more food than you can even eat yourself. i hope i can. i can't do much because of course i am renting my property. but i am going to do some plants this year. already have some planted inside and growing. another thought is geez we really do have so much room in our front yards and our back yards yet we choose to have stuff growing and have to water it yet we can't eat it.. go figure right?

Great, totally agree, but takes some practical doing to get back to the earth again. For that you are an inspiration, thanks!
