Once again i hooked up an old DeArmond stick-on pickup to my Breedlove Mandolin and added a couple of effects from guitar rig 2. I wanted to see what it would sound like with a little distortion!!,,,

  • wow man that did rock, f them haters,,,probly never touch any strings

  • @TdubsRIFFaWEEK thanks man... ahahaa

  • Sorry man but that really sucks with effects. You don't need a Breedlove to make it sound that bad. The cheapest mandolin you can find will be suitable, no offense. Breedlove's are known for their beautiful "natural sound" and for good reason they should be played clean.

  • @harmonairbass we are all entitled to our own opinions... it was just an experiment

  • @harmonairbass Im glad hendrix didn't think like you! Sounds cool man, somethin different on the mandolin, nice!

  • @dbocca07 thanks man... Im thinking of doing another rock vid sometime soon when I get a chance...

  • Might be a tad too close to the camera, it's picking up too much acoustic noise.

  • epic

  • @TheJamdolinPlayer I don't think harmonairbass meant any disrespect. Some people just don't seem to be able to criticize without coming off a little like a jerk. Getting this kind of feedback (no pun intended) only means you're on to something, if you ask me. I'm an experimental mandolin player, myself, and would be honored if you'd take a look at some of the videos on my channel. You sound great, man. And remember to file ALL criticism appropriately. ;)

  • lol, with the electric effect the tremelo sounds like shredding! Pretty neat... no reason you couldn't do some pretty cool rock covers with that. It pretty much sounds like playing the high-end of the guitar, which is where most rock songs are played anyway....

  • That echo part was awesome, I gotta try that =D

  • well, i stuck it out and listened. Me no likey the distortion part but the echo sound was kinda nice.
