Also, while watching other peoples hands on with the device, I was amazed that almost everyone already knew how to operate the device. That is the iPhone halo effect. Many users will simply refuse to learn paradigm. Explains why Blackberry still is the number 1 smartphone device.

Steve basically leads the 4 other tech journalist to the correct conclusion. This is bigger than a flash or a camera. There is a need for a new class of device for the casual user. This device will bridge the gap between the 5% of geek users and remaining 95% of the world. This device is for moms, grandparents, teens who don't stare at computer screens for 12 - 16 hrs a day.
