With Robert Kennedy Jr, and music by Metallica, Talking Heads, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Kashkun, Wim Mertens, Richard Wagner, Me, Mom and Morgentaler, and others.


A clash of two cultures , native and western, over the James Bay Hydroelectric Project. A video with humour and pathos, as entertaining as it is educational. 


The battle over Ouebec's north symbolizes the dilemma facing our entire planet. What happens when tradition stands in the way of progress? And where does progress actually take us?

Shooting this project made a deep impression on me .
I heard the soul song of these great rivers imprisoned within the sky scraping cement towers of Hydro Quebec, one of the largest hydroelectric dams in the world. I shall never forget the enveloping nature & spirit of Great Whale, Kujjuarapik, Whapmagoostui and the heart healing kindness of the people who have lived generations in that region including the Webb's, Natachaguans, Dick's, and many others.
