Jehovah's Witnesses get baptized in the name of an organization, and not the Holy Spirit. This is a clip from a JW devival that demonstrates whose name they are baptized in. A Snare and Racket Production
@Arnisaysrelax - BTW, I noticed when you replied to me that you used capital letters in "Holy Spirit." If you are a Witness, why did you do that?....as they use all lower case such as holy spirit. They do this because they do not see the Spirit as a person...even though it IS a person the Bible says can be grieved, teach and repeat what it hears.
The Society has managed to get newer members to join a worldly club from which their membership can be terminated at any time by the Society (disfellowshipping) while at the same time convincing these newcomers that they have only dedicated themselves to their Creator. Can any actions be more devious?
(1) On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
(2) Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with God's spirit-directed organization?
Where is the Holy Spirit aka the Holy Ghost mentioned here? Hmmmmmm?
@Arnisaysrelax - You are a child. When you get older and perhaps learn how to think for yourself, you just might think and feel differently. But it will be too late. You will have joined this cult when you were not much more than a baby, and that "decision" will be held against you. - BTW, the Bible directs that we are to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. - The JW's don't do that....simple as that. It is a fake baptism...you research it.
@GungHo1032 It is a shame you don't see how this may offend some people, my name is Arnya Lewis and i am thirteen years old, i am a jehovahs Witness and proud. i don't believe it is a 'high control' cult and to me it is a REAL baptism, no one is forced to join they simply grew up in that religion there is a reason we are not baptized in the name of the Holy Spirit, maybe u should research it. x
It's always sad to see anyone join this high control cult, but it especially hurts to see little children, almost babies join this cult. I have personally seen kids as young as NINE years old join. BTW, it is not a real baptism, as they do not baptize in the name of the Holy Spirit as the Bible directs.
@Justice4vr Yes calling someone stupid is name calling and you must be retarded not to know that. see by me saying "you must be retarded" i was making a assumption. if i had said "you are retarded" that would be name calling. you said "you stupid apostate", calling him a name. saying his head had garbage in it and that he was stupid, also Judging. while I'm "Judging" you and Assuming you are slow in the brain. very unchrist like... but i I'm not a Christan... so no harm no foul.
@GirlKurupt Its called defending ones beliefs and standing up for the truth. You obviously dont know the meaning of that, nor do you any beliefs worth defending to this degree.

@Justice4vr The word is "brethren", but since the JW's eschew education, I understand your confusion.

@Justice4vr I am at peace with my beliefs. Are you? Your excessive posturing on these comments say otherwise.
