  • Can you seal laminate flooring, with urethane or anything, to keep the water from penetrating the edges? Thanks for your time Dominick.

  • @CladCoin No not really. A laminate floor moves and moves a lot. A urethane will crack up real good.

  • Hi dom, I was wondering about putting laminate flooring in my bedroom and i don't bring drink into my room however do you think it would be suitable for a 14 year olds bedroom thanks, Jenna

  • @cheekymonkey9888 Sure thing. Go for it. Look for my how to install laminate floor video.

  • hi dom, i live in a condo. my neighbor put a laminate floor above me. the neighbor has heavy glass doors. the jam they installed they put directly over the wood and did not cut an area so the doors would slide without creating an earthquke everytime the doos are slid opened and closed. other issues but i don't need to post those.

    thanks,

    bob

  • @nohobob Jambs go up and down, they are on the sides. I think you mean a transition. In that case it would seem that it will need to be cut down. Post a picture on my site and I'll see what you need to do.

  • What if you used some waterproof wood glue such as titebond III?

  • @tifighter3 if you plan on keeping it poster clean...no kids ..no animals..yes...maybe in a bedroom but for a downstairs..or hallway..I live in 6 months of cold weather..i would get carpet again,,,or real wood....

  • @ladyvictoria8 Why did you hate the laminate so much?

  • @cbr900rr919 which brand did you install???

  • I hate laminate flooring ...worst decision i ever made....get real wood

  • Thank you for taking the time to reply back ! Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I appreciate your professional advice nevertheless !!! Have a good one Dom ! Catch ya later, Clad.

  • Is it possible to use laminate flooring board to cover the walls? Like the chair guards that are around 4 feet high.

  • The laminate floor in my house is getting ripped out and will never EVER be installed again. This stuff was not meant to live on, it was meant to look at. Seriously, if you have a busy family it will not be long before you walk trails into the floor, unlike hardwood, it cannot be resurfaced. Also, washing a floor with a swifer? There again, only if you don't live on it. Mine is Pergo brand, I have trails and bubbles all over, it's garbage I tell ya, never install it.
