Foreplay/Long Time - Boston - Drum Cover By Domenic Nardone

Boston was my first "favourite" band! I was 11 when their incredible debut album came out. What a great album! The Guitar Spaceship carrying the city of Boston was such a memorable icon. I thought it would be cool to somehow incorporate that icon in this video. A special THANKS goes to Darvin Atkeson who was kind enough to let me use some of his incredible artwork for this video. @bigchubby99 Just keep listening to your favourite drummers....that's how I learned. Play along to simple stuff to get your confidence up and take it slow. I used to play to ACDC stuff cuz I thought it was simple. Then I started to appreciate what a solid drummer Phil Rudd was. Listen to some of you favourite gospel drummers, keep things simple to gain your confidence and the harder stuff will fall into place!

dom,How do u get that great sound from your bass drum.I have a pearl setup but dont have that thump that u have.Thanks.You sound excellent.I would love to hear u do rock and roll machine from triumph.That would be so cool.

@OzzyVanHalen Try tuning your kick to just above wrinkle. It helps to use an Aquarian Superkick 2 head with minimum muffling as well. I was never happy with my bass sound until I got that drum-head!

Just great, Domenic. Your toms sound punchy & warm, and the rest of the kit is tuned so right for this song. That's some very skillful drumming navigating through all those changes. I've been wanting to cover this tune but have procrastinated as it would take me some time to practice it even though I played this back in a cover band in the late 70s. Yea cool artwork too.
