We have the Isha Kriya practice now, but it was just 2 years ago that we were blessed enough to encounter holy Mount Kailash on a pilgrimage.... so much beyond any ability of mine to describe. As the person (maybe a sherpa?) in this video says, "It's the Holy Mountain."

is it just me or does mt kailash resemble a man made temple? such as the olmecs and aztech used to make? it cleary has a line running from top to bottom on one side and what looks like steps through the snow. it to me look liks a aztec pyramid! doesn anyone know why this mountain is sacred? the firt original reason. anyone?

Kailash is holy for a number of reasons. Look them up. But you must first realize that man-made temples resemble mountains, not the other way around. An aztec pyramid looks like Kailash. The "first original reason" Kailash is sacred is because it is God's creation, not man's. When you understand this then you understand why mountains and Nature are more sacred than churches and anything human.

I'm glad I did it then. Because doing it in the near future could be either more dangerous or impossible because of the worsening political situation.

Hi, I have made kora around Kailash 3 times, 10 years ago.
It is wonderfull to see once more this places. Just difference- I had no car, no guide , no tent, no yaks. I always did it by my own in 3 days. Very difficult. I met one Tibetan lama who did this kora 16 times by prostrations!

Wow! You're well on your way to a good next life. We met an old man along the way who says he did it 100 times! It was a little tougher because I was shooting and carrying 30 lbs. of gear on my back. Still, I'd do it again- but slower. And maybe without the camera.
