Part one of a multiplayer playthrough of Scott Pilgrim vs the World, based on the comics by Bryan Lee O'Malley and movie by Universal Studios, by Ubisoft for the XBox 360. Scott Pilgrim (MacDaddyNook), Kim Pine (SunBurntKen http://www.youtube.com/user/sunburntken ) and Ramona Flowers (Duck) take on the world to defeat the League of Evil Exes.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World is a very fun "beat 'em up" style game in the vein of Double Dragon, Battletoads and especially River City Ransom. Players fight their way through hordes of enemies, earning experience and money for each enemy defeated. The experience accumulated will "level up" players in traditional RPG fashion, giving access to new abilities while the money can be spent on health recovering food and items that also boost the overall stats of a character.

The first stage, Frozen Suburbs, takes place during winter in Toronto, Canada. It is a simple stage that introduces players to the game as well as a group of enemies such as the typical beat 'em up thugs, fat men who block attacks with their bellies, dobermen pinschers, and blonde jerks who love to pick up and hurl items at the players.

An interesting glitch appears very early on after taking out the first group of enemies. For whatever reason, the game registered an enemy as dead but kept his sprite on the screen in its neutral animation. Despite looking "alive," the enemy could not be interacted with in any way.

During the level, buses will drive along the street and drop off enemies. Players must get out of the way or take damage from being hit by the buses. A bottomless pit also appears in the neighborhood, although it only takes away a small portion of health instead of a complete life.

Near the halfway point of the stage, there is a door that leads into subspace. It's interesting how this Subspace Highway is designed after Rainbow Road from the Mario Kart series. These highways serve as shortcuts through the level or just sections to collect bonus money. Oftentimes, they also bridge distant areas in the game together as well.
