Several kites have chaimed to be the largest. A kite was named largest and then it was recinded after pointing out the the long tail was not actually part of the kite itself so it was not even close to the MegaBite. It was a huge Cobra flown in the far east. The Megabite owner set out to build a new biggest and the result was three of the same size. The first was a Saudi Flag, then the US flag and the third is a large Rabbit from Japan as a sign of good luck. A new design is pending.

lol this isnt a kite, its just a cloth flying in the air. Where i am from we make huge wooden kites starting from 10 Meters and it can range till 30's sometimes, box, daimond, hex, oct, you name it we make it we fly it.
And this one is made in a damn factory whats the fun in that.....

Wasnt the Budweiser foil that killed Steve Eideken the biggest ever? Im sure it was way bigger than this. I have some old pics of it from kitelines magazine.

That kite, flown 25 years ago,was about 800 square meters. The MegaFlags are about 1000 square meters.
The Budweiser kite did fly, but because of the circumstances of Steve's death, it was never officially recorded.

Search google for biggest kite. So many people claiming to have the biggest kite, it just aint funny.
Nice kite though.
From looking at the other kites, this is NOT the largest kite. There IS a world outside the USA btw.

Well -- actually, there are three kites -- all made by the same company and all exactly the same size. One is in Japan, one in Kuwait, and one in the USA. (Yes - -there is a world outside the USA!) Guinness and the American Kitefliers Association have recognized the three kites as the largest. Hope that helps.
