Gail walking before surgery

I'm Gail, a 3 years old Walker Hound. Not only do I have heartworms, which will be treated for them in May, but I need to have my front leg amputated. I have a broken leg that did not heal properly, and the orthopedic specialist feels that it is best to have it amputated. Otherwise, it would have to be re-broken, reset and then no guarantee that I would be pain free. Mostly Mutts currently has a lot of dogs who have special medical needs.
