  • If the universe was so dense, why wouldn't a black hole type structure form and prohibit the matter from expanding with space?

  • @Melthornal The universe was relatively uniform then; gravity would have been pulling in all directions.

  • I would say that the red phase shift and cosmic radiation are scant evidence to justify our entire view of how the universe was formed. there are dozens of other possibilities, and more things we are yet to understand that could explain away all of this in a heartbeat. as soon as we get a reading of this radiation outside of our galaxy I may start to concurr with this idea.

  • you say the "temperature" of the universe is the same in all directions, but is the amplitude of the radiation equal too? or is that the same thing? shouldn't there be a smaller amount of radiation coming from the away side of the bang? how can we be sure the radiation isn't trapped in our galaxy by some type of force analogous to the magnetic forces that trap radiation in the Van Allen belts? and the "background radiation" disappears as soon as you leave the galaxy?????

  • @Melthornal Besides, the laws of physics break down in the singularity.

  • i find it difficult to follow your voice...it belies too much "water behind the dam" or too much caffeine...) i.e. you need to calm down, slow down...intelligent people forget they talk too fast...& it is infinitely easier & more satisfying to listen ( & thus, Learn!) from a calm, slow voice...Do you ever meditate, My Friend? Nevertheless i am grateful for your project...Thanks*

  • Sal - bravo - but every time i attempt to view your cosmology videos within seconds i get the waiting circle, on every computer in my house and have great internet access - very frustrating

never happens with your other teaching videos

  • Actually, according to big bang, every point is the center, every point is the edge,

  • @blardosplats Gravity wasn't the same force as we know it now. There were superforces before Big Bang happened. The same rules did not apply. When The Bang came, the forces got weaker. Some say that gravity is weaker because it has more dimensions to "divide into". Almost like water with secret tunnels/caves.

  • 2 people had their minds blown.

  • 0:46 WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW????? im un subscribing :-)

  • If the universe is infinitly large, how can it have been smaller? And how can it expand and get larger? Does this mean that the big bang theory implies that the universe is finite in size?
