Yes. I did go to Rockport schools. I graduated in 1988. Maybe it wasn't me you were standing next to. ; )

That's cool. It sure was cold that day, wasn't it? It's taking the builders forever to finish the new building. I wonder how long until it's done. Thanks for watching and commenting.

L.E. Smith's former location is still standing. It is at 49 Main Street (the building now housing the Stoffa Gallery.) The store moved to Whistlestop Mall in 1967.

@SmithAceHardware - Oh. That's cool to know. I wish that there were more historic pictures around so that the history of store locations could be better known. I wonder what the Haskins was before it was the Madras Shop.

Great job on the filming and editing. My father used to work in that building when it was the old L.E. Smith's. All I can remember of it back then was that there was a toy parrot there that I wanted for Christmas that would record and repeat what you said to it. (Santa didn't bring it) For most of my memory it was the Madras Shop. I'll miss the familiar roof in the background of Front Beach photos and paintings....

Thanks for the compliments on my work. I wasn't aware that the Haskins Building was once L.E. Smith. Perhaps that is portrayed in the panoramic painting at the Community House on Broadway. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the parrot you wanted. That is a bummer. Thanks for checking out my video. God Bless.
