"Black Rose" is a treasure. This song is stunning. I think JD has written some of the most beautiful ballads during his era (which still continues from the early 70s). Thank you for this beautiful post. How can we get some SHF band stuff on youtube?

Stanley Clarke plays such an expressive double bass on this tune, always a big fan of both Stanley and J.D. but this song...wow! So haunting....

BLACK ROSE would be 1 of my CDs I would take to a desert island if 10 were all I were aloud. Stanley Clark and JD on acoustic guitar w/ a touch of Peter Asher. Just too damn good!!
