  • I though "she(down sound)" means "is". Does it also mean that or only in "hai she" "also;is"/"or" as far as I understood form another youtube tutorial.

  • @Trinivalts Shi4, means is, sometimes.

  • instead of "highly excited," the perfect translation of 高興 is "high spirits," which is a phrase in english which means happy!

  • hmmm. you are right. Your way is better to transfer the essence of this word. Thank you.

  • I'll add mine too =P

    may khush hoon = I am happy...urdu, Pakistani =)

  • Oh this is so good. I will definitely make a list of all languages. Thank you.

  • May I just take this time to say you are a great teacher, and I really appreciate your efforts!!! Please continue your project because it's a great endeavor! :)

  • I've heard explanation that Chinese adjectives can be also used as verbs. So 高兴 can be translated as "happy" or "to be happy". But your explanation with "not equal" is much more reasonable. 谢谢 =)

  • This one is fun. :D

  • slovak: man: Som šťastný!

    woman: Som šťastná! :)

  • Italian: Sono felice! :-)

  • Neat explanation of how to use "shi". Very useful - thanks!
