I worked as a gardener in Fairfield county, CT for many years and would check myself every single day for ticks. I wasn't feeling right at one point and called my doctor and there was no hesitation to prescribe a dose of antibiotics as a safetly measure. One man I met had a high school age daughter who was misdidagnosed, they said she had mono, and the result of not being treated in a timely manner was devastating to her, unfortunately.

I didn't realize this was so serious. In northern Ontario, I've heard of increased rates in the deer. This would effect the rates of humans potentially.

Had it twice. They diagnose it a lot more frequently here in CT because so many people get it. Actually, it was named after the town of Lyme, CT.

i'm still trying to see the movie on bigmovies4free. did search, but no result! BTW, no actors - those folks are real. The first day I got PICC and started rocephin IVs, I met one of the guys in the movie. He'd had 7 mos. of IVs. Mine didn't do, either. 2 yrs. later, on Doxy 3 mos. 10 to go.
