Then my original observation stands. Shoehorning any big block into an A body is an accomplishment, especially for the guy working out of his garage. Take it easy.

My brother and I built a couple of these motors back in the early 80's! Man they're freak'n boat anchors! The heads alone where like 70 pounds apiece! We had to travel to Jim Oddy's in Buffalo just to get an oil pump. We were going to put it in a 73 cuda. Never did get around to it. Put a 340 in it instead. Not my choise for a street motor when so many other options are available. The idea is to take the weight off the front end not add a few hundred pounds.

Nice!! ENVY ENVY ENVY I had one too. My second car in '72 was a barley used '71 340 Demon. White w/ blacked-out hood and twin scoops. I was one cool 11th grader. don't know what I was thinking when I traded it for a new '74 camero (wasn't even a Z-28).

@AJLintner hemi will prob run you 2000 2500 theyre hard to find nowdays i used to have a 1970 valiant duster 340 it was the first year of the duster body and i was a retard and let it get crushed
