  • beautiful, popular piece from the great opera; it is played musically, passionately and pretty well by this HS? group (a few out of tune notes); you have a very good conductor

  • Yes, it is a high school group. Langham Creek Symphonic was judged as the Texas 5A State Honor Band which means they were the best concert band in Texas.

  • Can I ask something here? I noticed in Equus the second chair clarinet is now the girl that's the 7th chair in this video? Why did she change?

  • Generally, the chairs are set for each piece. That way, no one plays first all the time. You don't learn as much if you are always playing third. Other sections in this band change around also. They are never in the same order.

  • @kelsinichelle123 I totally agree although, in my ear, it was noticeably sharp, or the rest of the band was flat :-)

  • our TSSBDA is top band is doing this song. Ours is alot more flowy. We elongate the fourth beat with almost like a fermata.
