Your point about "health" and fertility is also moot: what is "health" and how the hell do you measure it? The epitome of "health" is having superb fertility, it's what your body is evolutionary designed to be. A diet that maximizes fertility also, by definition, maximizes "health".

around 23:22 you talk about "treats" and make a comparison about the "deferred lifestyle" and "deferred eating plan". Your point is flawed: eating "junk"/processed carbs aren't "treats", they're poison that your dopamine receptors are hooked to. You can rationalize it however you like, but the biochemical reasons for eliminating processed carbs and gluten is clear. 4HB is about maximizing your health efficiently and thus, by consequence, the quality of your life.

It was never my understanding this book (and loosing 20 pounds of fat in 30 days) was meant for the long-haul. I like the fact Ferris is addressing many of us who find too many choices with food and preparation complicated and another reason to quit.
In one of Ferris' videos he addresses the fact that his quest is to find the quickest route between two points as he did with his Four Hour Work Week, packing for a trip, creating the perfect windsor tie and taking 20 pounds off easily.

Thanks for the show Darya. Just some constructive criticism/feedback: Overuse of "um" and "uh" in your delivery has to go. You are obviously intelligent, but it's quite distracting and takes away from your message.

I cannot believe you are reviewing Tim Ferris's book. I used to trust your suggestions. This shows that you fail to research the facts that you are reporting. I am sorry for those who follow Ferris's suggestions he is a charlatan I just hope FDA stops him soon.

@SciPoly I reviewed the book because EVERYONE is reading it, asking about it and trying it. I did a ton of research for this video with the goal of helping people understand what they're getting into. I don't see how not talking about it helps anyone.

@daryapino I think it was great that you reviewed this diet. I have read parts of the book - all of the diet stuff - and found it interesting but had questions - you hit on the issues that I had. What I have looked for and read about was something for weight loss that would have a fast start for motivation, be simple and easy to follow but was not a rigid structure like telling you things you must eat. I am a life long dieter and want to just be healthy and eat in a healthy fashion.
