There is nothing more. "come in handy" is referring to the videos you can store on it. Period. Nothing else. I don't think someone like Steve Jobs will say something like "something I'm about to show you" and not explain what is within the next 10, 15 minutes.

Sure, the hard drive will store videos and sure you'll get videos through iTunes onto iPhone. But that is a funny quote for him to say. The AppleTV's hard drive will "come in handy" for iPhone. I think there is something more in the cards, here.
