UP 844 " The Milliken Centennial Special " June 25, 2010 part 2 is from Nunn to Pierce,CO
Union Pacific Railroad's historic steam locomotive, No. 844, will travel to Milliken, Colo., from its base in Cheyenne, Wyo., to help the community celebrate its centennial and the railroad's history and heritage.
The "City of Milliken Centennial Special" will depart Cheyenne on June 25 at 5 p.m. and arrive in Milliken at 7:30 p.m. No. 844 will be on public display at the Broad St. crossing in Milliken on June 26 beginning at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., before it departs Milliken at 7 p.m., arriving back in Cheyenne at 10:30 p.m.

•The Train will be located on the tracks next to Colorado Community Bank.
•Parking will be allowed at Traders Junction at Alice Ave and Highway 60 (Broad Street).
•Buses will be running from parking lots.
•Close-by parking is available for Persons with Disabilities Parking Privileges.
•Experience the Historic Union Pacific 844 Steam Train, tour the caboose, visit the gift shop car, meet the Conductor.
•Bring your cameras!
•Witness model train displays from the Estes Valley Model Railroaders at the Meeting House.
•Visit the Milliken Farmers Market at the historic grain elevator.
•Food and drinks will be on sale at the train site from: the Milliken Fire Protection District, Centennial Committee and Milliken Business Association, Schwan's, and All Time Favorites.
•Milliken also has several restaurants, bars and convenience stores at Traders Junction, downtown and on the west side.
•Milliken Historical Society Cookbooks will be available for purchase

Skip, I've just starting to watch youtube videos of steam trains and have really enjoyed yours. First fav item is the whistles, something about that reach me down deep. Next I would have to say is listening to the chugging of the stack. I have a mechanical background and seeing these machines to me is a work of art.
