This is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen with my own eyes. This is a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 'Daytona'. This exact car is actually a 'conversion' Spider which means it is not an original Daytona Spider. What it is is an original Daytona Coupe with the roof cut out.

Anyway, the end result is a stunning job. A lot of people say its butchery to cut up a vintage and rare car such as the Ferrari Daytona but a genuine Spider is hard to come by. The car has a 4.4L V12 engine and sounds great. Just imagine driving through the French Alps in this down to Monte Carlo with the roof off with the sun shining and you'll get what I mean ;)

Also, I do apologize for the camera shaking. I dont what thats about, it was really warm in there!

Filmed at my friends garage which is Legends Automotive in Bourton, Gloucestershire.

  • A quite noticeable aspect of the body for me is the pleasant lack of the side reflector marker on the skin behind the rear wheel. Makes a huge difference in the purity of the line.

  • @MarquisEstelle WRONG!!!!! there has mostly been a considerable market price difference between a real Berlinetta and a real Spider. In hope for higher value and prospective sale revenue — or even because not too many factory Spiders were ever built — many Berlinettas were turned into convertibles. They are usually distinguishable from a factory-made GTS/4 by a more slanted windshield.

  • @martidm The slope of the windshield was production, same as the coupe. It was radical for it's day, and heralded that trend in sports cars seen today. This car was way ahead of it's time, particularly in bodywork, and most sports cars today can't even touch it for overall driving experience.

  • @wolfvisi0n Yes..me too..about 6 or 7 like this spyder

  • With the exception of the classic Maserati Ghibli Spyder, there has never been or will ever be a convertible as beautiful as the Ferrari 365GTB/4 Daytona Spyder.

  • I can tell that it's not a factory Spyder by the slope of the windshield.

  • my dads go one of these
