Some would say that you are only trully able to love others when you love yourself.

I take his words as meaning there are certain situations in life where you cant be anywhere else but in the moment.So you feel fully alive in the hear and now because theres no room to be anywhere else.A bit like doing a bungee jump.

Papajohn 0125 I agree , dont take these kind of people or what they say personal , they don't really know you or do they know your good quality as a person . Only few understand. ego is what blinds people and there always blaming others but themselves. The only thing that matters is you know your qualities. sticks and stones can break my bones but your words will never hurt me you are just a character in my play and I can write you off any time.

@Papajohn0125 If you understand how the word can affect the world then you can understand how you can love society. You said it yourself...."How do i love society as a whole if people are blind...." That is the thing, people are blind. They are blind and don't understand how their word can affect you. Understanding this is key. Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

@cesardkd I need help with loving others. I do love myself but I cant love others as easily, many people's personality are very negative and filled with hate. Sometimes they say mean things to me and it rubs off and gets me mad. How do I love a person like that? How do I love society as a whole if people are blind and have no love?

To love another people first you have to start loving yourself, then you will be able to share your love with others, so you are no selfish at all. This is what Don Ruiz says. I recommend you to read some of his books because he explains more in detail this aspect. Saludos amigo!
