But yes, it's too bad retrofits are so expensive. Hopefully one day super insulated and airtight homes will be mandated by code. I think we've become used to moving around so much we don't think we'll see the return on that investment.

Sounds like your mad you can't afford anything like that. With your high dollar 70's mop texture wall and poor lighting, looks like your house is one step up from mobile. I don't get your point, if people want to spend more than they save, it has nothing to do with you does it? Rebate programs are a joke though, socialism is all it is and they need to be stopped.
