Stamford, long known for its corporate headquarters, financial services, and consulting companies is the largest business center in Connecticut. In fact, the city has become the biggest commercial hub between New York City and Boston.

Shopping is abundant; all of the large retail chains have made Stamford their home. There are also many local merchants offering unique items and services.

For dining, the variety of restaurants is limitless, every type of food is available here, including some of the best Steak houses in the country. Residents have a choice of over 400 restaurants, including cafes, bistros and evening entertainment.

In Stamford, theaters and the arts are the economic engine that drive the downtown. Last season alone, the Palace Theater with the Stamford Center for the Arts hosted more than 500 events including concerts, ballet, opera and the Stamford symphony.
For Healthcare the city is served by the Stamford Hospital and the Tully Health Center, there are also 23 walk-in clinics, and more than 400 licensed physicians.
