Finally a video of Marugelara.

In 2006 I was waiting for my turn with my Carnatic teacher when her assistant was making some children to sing this song. It felt like something really close - it felt like me.

The assistant was kind to teach me the song. Later i learnt it in more detail listen to recordings.

In this video, i sing the song with guitar accompaniment and lot of addons... :)

Trust you feel the song too.

  • @yugzeetah Thank you yugzeetah

  • That's one hell of a singing... you are awesome mate :)

  • @getlostidiot1 THank you :)

  • Shyam, I enjoyed that smattering of Spanish (?).

Thank you for Marugelara, one of my all time

    favourites in Karnatic. Splendid fusion.

The mood is plaintive. But, your room definitely

needs to be lit up hereafter. Also, a little more bhava on your

    face :)

  • @sajjive1 Ha ha haaa. Thank you very much Sajjive. It is funny how we are so unpredictable. There is a video called the dark indian lullaby which is darkest, the guitar is almost out of tune and i am singing as if i am left in some corner where not even a cockroach is listening to me. This dark video was appreciated by many people. My cousin said, the reason is that my face is not visible in the darkness.:) Having said that, i will keep more light in the videos now on. Phases, experiments...
