Forward Omaha the group supporting the mayor in the recall election took a group of homeless people and gave them $5.00 to attend a training session with the possible prospect of future work. They also took them to vote.
Here is an interview with one of the homeless men that voted.
i kind of feel sorry for becka; he tried so hard to get the mayor recalled -- even making this incredibly lame video where he gets pelted with snowballs and tries so hard to act like a hardcore two-fisted journalist. not only was the mayor not recalled but becka lost his job at kfab just recently...i have to admit i kind of miss him.

The questions Weren't "open ended" but in fact "leading" questions. The only open ended question was the first question. If you had left it at that, you wouldn't have had to "Lead" this guy to say what he said or more correctly what you wanted him to say! Now if you said to him, when he ran out of thoughts, "Can you tell me more" instead of leading him on to say what you wanted him to say, you could in fact make the statement that you didn't use Leading questions. You're a student I guess??
