  • savolaiset juonut muutaman siiderin...

  • Polka as music style originates in Poland, but this is definitely a Finnish song. The lyrics are very heavy Savonian Finnish dialect, and the original is a folk song from Savitaipale, Finland.

  • Елкала-палкала, горяччие финннские парни...

  • круто

    финчики жгут

  • @darkangel2347 I'm with you. Just to note that the tune itself is a very old Folk tune honed by the sensibilities and taste of generations of uncounted number of musicians - adding here and there and pruning off unnecessary. So there probably was never a single person that has written the piece - it is an excellent example of creativity of common culture from the times without propriety lawyers ;)

These lyrics were written in 1930's - but as said, the melody is much much older.

  • lol

  • This song is very old, pre-dating the digital and internet age. This song has a rich history of being "covered" by others. I'm sure whoever wrote this song (probably dead by now) will be proud to see his creation used in so many unique innovative ways. And get a secong life in the internet and digital age. This shows the true power of the internet. Preserving old stuff and giving them a new lease on life for new generations to discover.

  • aivan mahtavaa ! :P SUOMI FINLAND PERKELE

  • AWSOME!

  • @sociopathicpplkillr 'kamm' came probably from 'kammarissa' (in the chamber/bedroom) (comb, combs would be 'kampa, kammat')

'perse' I didn't notice, if it wasn't 'noaPuRiSsa' (in the neighbour (house))

(and I'm a Finn, so I'd recognise the word perse)

  • This song holds great personal meaning to me. The Loituma version that is. But this version is AMAZING!!! Lifted my mood greatly. Such cheerful music, and all that clowning around... Why can't life be good like that anymore?
