The hotel is still there and it's still the Hyatt Regency. I was looking at downtown Atlanta last night on Street View, looking into a Megabus trip. It is between Baker and Simpson on Peachtree St NW.

It's interesting that Jim tells this story about someone "jumping from the 27th floor" -given that he only lived 27 years...ndb -just a thought. He obviously had a taste for the macabre -but he's not alone there is he...:)

I remember that hotel in Atlanta he is talking about. My parents used to travel to Atlanta a lot in the late 60's and early 70's and I always remembered seeing that hotel because it really stood out to me when you would see the Atlanta skyline coming into view. Not sure, but I don't think it is there anymore.

how on earth did that comment up top get 30 thumbs ups? i'm just curious because to me it sounds like stalker potential. A lump in your throat forms as your writing, that?...Jim was pure brilliance and one of a kind who had a unique way with words, music, and life.
