  • don't know why everyone feels the need to compare him to anyone- dylan, springsteen, cohen, whoever- nothing exists in a vacuum, obviously Josh has heard all of these artists and at some level been influenced. What's important, I think, is how he's revitalizing and envigorating the whole genre, whether you want to call it folk, singer songwriter, or cosmic american music- who cares how you label it. josh is brilliant, and I'm not alone in expressing this opinion. WOW -come back to Saskatoon!

  • True though that the general population loves rap, I don't think it sucks, but anyone can be a rapper these days and the genre is being flooded with crap.

Genres like this are different, in the best way.

  • He seems to be playing on Glen Hansard's guitar!

  • @drdold looks like it too me!!!

  • @mothercash The funny thing is one day people will say how great some new kid is and how much he sounds like Josh Ritter...It's just a cycle that keeps going round...

  • @LucciCP9x I wouldn't say anyone can be a rapper. It takes great skill to write rap lyrics. Great rappers know how to write. Today's rappers, with an exception of a few, have disgusting lyrics....

Thank God for Josh Ritter bringing back what real music is supposed to be.
